IFS practices

Exercises

Guided practices to explore your inner parts — at your own pace, and keep your reflections.

Instructions

Test1

This exercise introduces two fundamental IFS gestures without naming the model: Turning attention inward (going inside) Creating a slight separation from what is present (this is not me; it is something within me) It stops there. No work with protectors, no contact with vulnerable parts. The goal is for the person to leave with a concrete experience of what it means to observe rather than identify with. What it builds: The ability to notice an emotion or sensation without either avoiding it or getting carried away by it—a first introduction to the difference between being an emotion and having an emotion.
